- Abstract
The article discusses corporate criminal liability which determines the extent to which a corporation as legal person can be liable for the acts persons it employs. It analyzes whether there is a difference in kind, as opposed to simply degree, which distinguishes corporate crime from individual crime. It highlights the case of Lindsey Manufacturing Co., a California maker of emergency power systems, which was convicted at trial for bribery under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977.
