The article discusses the causation legal doctrine in relation to private securities lawsuits in America as of November 2013, focusing on the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in the 2013 case Amgen Inc. v. Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds which deals with standing to sue, culpable conduct, and securities-related antifraud provisions.
