- Abstract
The article reports on an eight month-old infant who suffered from tongue tie. A size-two laryngeal mask airway (LMA) was inserted after gaseous induction and intravenous access, but the airway became hindered and lungs ventilation was impossible. It was replaced with an oropharyngeal airway but laryngeal spasm continued. Atropine and suxamethonium were given and the presumed bloody mucus plug seen in the laryngoscopy was suctioned out. It was found out to be a chewed corner of a magazine.
