The article focuses on the decision of U.S. Supreme Court in the case Carpenter v. United States which is probably the most significant privacy case of this generation. It mentions impact on data privacy, the third-party doctrine, and Fourth Amendment searches. It traces the history of data privacy and the third-party doctrine, and discusses the future of the Fourth Amendment in the Post-Carpenter era.
