- Abstract
The article explores the control of politics in Maine by the Republican Party in 2014. Republican Governor Paul LePage defeated Congressman Mike Michaud during the election. The party regained control of the State Senate following its loss from the Democratic Party. Other topics discussed include forecasts for congressional and state legislative elections and the conformity of the state's political culture and its Republican Party to national patterns.
