A RESEARCH REVOLUTION IN THE MAKING GOOGLE BOOKS AND MORE AS SOURCES FOR WOMEN'S HISTORY.
- Authors
Weisbard, Phyllis Holman
- Abstract
The article considers the use of the Google Books and other mass digitization projects for studying women's history. The aim of the Google Books project is to digitize different information resources. Google has agreements with several major libraries in the U.S. and abroad to digitize large quantities of their holdings. Some of the charter library partners of Google include Harvard and the New York Public Library. The Google Books project offers better access to the contents of books. Furthermore, the project allows a user to search for useful passages.
