Title
Unusual Fruiting of Chamaedorea tenella.
Abstract
The article offers information on the strange fruiting of Chamaedorea tenella palm. It notes that the palm is found in distinct populations in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and Chiapas, Mexico. The article discusses the fruiting of the palm, in which fruits on the same infructescence will develop and mature in two or more flushes in a long fruiting period. The article theorizes that the strategy could increase the chances that the fruits are dispersed.
