- Abstract
The article reports on cranial trepanation, surgical procedure used in ancient India. Topics include information on evidence of trepanation of skulls in which surgical instruments like decapitators used in obstetrics; information on Susruta Samhita, surgical treatise that described cataract surgery, abdominal surgery, and plastic repair of nose, bladder stone removal, and repair of urethral stricture; and information of Tumi, knife that was said to have been used for trepanation.
