The article presents case studies of a 58-year-old and a 42-year-old brain tumor patients who were diagnosed with phenotyoin-induced drug reactions. Topics discussed include the immediate phenytoin withdrawal of the patients due its adverse effects, the hypersensitivity reaction of phenytoin causing epidermal necrolysis and the significant correlation between phenytoin-induced Stevens-Johnson syndrome-toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and HLA-B 1501 allele.
