- Abstract
The article offers information on the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), a Northern, Virginia-based independent combat support agency within the U.S. Department of Defense. The agency oversees federal and allied government acquisition programs, ensuring that acquisitions are delivered on time, within projected cost or price, and meet performance requirements. It is organized into six divisions and 30 centers that administers 50 contract offices which are responsible for the work performed at operating centers worldwide. DCMA also offers acquisition planning support, contract management, engineering support and software acquisition management services.
