The article offers insight to the laws governing marriage in the U.S. Topics discussed include analysis of taboo against incest and the present state of incest laws in the country; Obergefell v. Hodges case in which the court held that fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by Due Process Clause and Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey case on same.
