- Title
"TUCKER'S RULE": ST. GEORGE TUCKER AND THE LIMITED CONSTRUCTION OF FEDERAL POWER.
- Authors
Lash, Kurt T.
- Abstract
The article discusses law professor and judge George Tucker's theory of strict construction of federal power from his view of the U.S Constitution. The theory states that the federal power must be closely interpreted in order to prevent excessive interference with matters best left under state control. The Constitution should be strictly construed in all cases wherein antecedent states' rights may be drawn in question.
