- Abstract
The article discusses the use of educational technology by reading teachers to help students build vocabulary skills. It focuses on the technology-based learning strategy eVoc and addresses the role of this and other information and communication technologies (ICTs) in literacy instruction in the 21st century. Ten strategies for improving vocabulary learning with the use of technology are presented. Topics include visual displays of words and relationships between words, online vocabulary learning games, and the use of online dictionaries and translators by English-learners (ELs).
