The author presents his insights about curriculum theory as presented in the play, "Vertical Hour," by David Hare. The relationship between love and curriculum theory as a discipline is discussed. Similarities between major themes of the play and the work done in theory curriculum are also noted. As observed by the author, the on-going battles between the Marxists and the Freudians in curriculum theory reappear in Hare's play.
