- Title
Pulmonary interstitial glycogenosis: words of caution.
- Authors
Deutsch, Gail; Young, Lisa
- Abstract
The article presents the authors' insights on the histopathological processes and the effects of pulmonary interstitial glycogenesis (PIG), an infant lung disorder on concurrent disease processes. It discusses the ChILD Research Network study which revealed that PIG is not the driver of prognosis in infants with lung diseases. The author adds that a cooperative multidisciplinary effort among clinicians, radiologists, and pathologists can lead to better understanding the natural history of PIG.
