- Abstract
The aim of this article is to investigate how the Maganetti Group, the only Italian Certified "B Corp" belonging to the logistics and transport sector, has faced the challenge of sustainable mobility. Since the B Corps are still little discussed in the literature, the analysis aims to deepen this area of research to propose a deeper understanding of the topic. Transport and the mobility of people and goods play an essential strategic role for economic development, and, at the same time, they are the sectors that contribute the most to the creation of negative impacts on society, human health, and the environment. Based on the data available, it can be stated that by becoming a certified B Corp and a benefit corporation, the Maganetti Group has managed to adopt a sustainable business model and develop solutions to generate profits and allow social, physical, and environmental changes. In line with the Triple Bottom Line approach. The strategies adopted by the group considered both the needs of movement and transport and the need to reduce the impacts produced on society, the economy, and the natural environment. Furthermore, the analysis showed that they are aligned with the corporate aspects of the sustainable mobility principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
