- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the effects of cadmium on temperature tolerance of green sunfish, Lepomis cyanellus. The study uses lethal static toxicity tests to monitor the oxygen, alkalinity, hardness and metal concentrations of the hardwater. Results show that exposure of green sunfish to cadmium would not reduce temperature tolerance as much in a red shi and in red shiners Notropis lutrensis and fathead minnows Pimephales promelas.
