- Abstract
Mesopotamian literature and arts are full of references and images expressing the sexual life of people and gods, Sexual desire was seen as a divine power that ensured the continuity of gods, humans, and all other sentient beings, There are a number of texts that have sexual content, usually classified as "love songs or wedding songs" or "royal love songs". Some literature and arts deal directly with the subject of sexual relations between men and women. The various arts portrayed scenes of the intimate relationship between a man and a woman in different positions, such as embracing, lying on the marital bed, and sexual intercourse with drinking through a reed or pipe.
