- Abstract
This current study aimed to identify the level of positive thinking of the 9th and 10th grade in Directorate of Education of Sahab District schools in the light of following variable: gender, family income, academic level, and average. The study random sample consist of (250) male and female students during the second semester of the academic year (2019/2020).In order to achieve the goals of the study, a tool (scale) was developed to find out the level of positive thinking and this scale was applied on a number of study samples after verifying the validity and legibility of this scale. The study results indicate that the respond average for study sample on the positive thinking scale showed high level. Further the results indicate a statistically differences on the positive thinking scale related to gender variable in favor of female. The results indicate also that there were not differences related to family income and variable of academic level. The result showed differences related to variable of average among students with high academic achievement and those with low academic achievement in favor of the student with high academic achievement related to love of learning, knowledge, and problem solving. A number of recommendations were presented, in particular, preparing training programs which contribute developing the positive thinking for the teachers and students on all academic level and the inclusion in school curricula of activities which contribute in developing the positive thinking skills among students.
