- Abstract
The occurrence of the gobiid Austrolethops wardi in seagrass beds at Bone Batang, a small island of the Spermonde Archipelago, south-west Sulawesi, Indonesia, is reported; the first record of A. wardi in Indonesia. All fish were found to be associated with burrows of the thalassinid shrimp Neaxius acanthus, where they were caught either as single specimens or as pairs. The main diagnostic characters of this rarely found gobiid are presented.
