- Abstract
The article discusses the validation of a rainfall interpolator intended for use by authorities in Taiwan to determine the best allocation of emergency resources during typhoon season, which often brings disasters such as landslides and debris flows. Hydrological modeling based on data from telemetered rain gauges, using cross-semi-variograms and regionalized theory, is described. Co-kriging methods were introduced for instances of missing data, creating improved efficiency for the prediction of rainfall.
