- Abstract
The authors comment on a study which aimed to determine the radiation exposure of medical staff while preparing the therapeutic dose and administering 90Y-loaded glass and resin microspheres. Topics covered include the engineering control differences between the two devices, the effectiveness of the use of beta-emitting pharmaceuticals and sealed sources in decreasing exposure, and how both devices differ from shielding the user from Bremsstrahlung radiation.
