- Title
ChatGPT und der „Faktor Mensch" im schulischen Mathematikunterricht.
- Authors
Lutz-Westphal, Brigitte
- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of ChatGPT on mathematics education in schools. It emphasizes that while ChatGPT can be helpful, it cannot replace human creativity and innovation. The texts generated by ChatGPT are often flawed and should be critically questioned. It is recommended to create new teaching and learning settings that are perceived as effective and meaningful by both teachers and students. The handling of computer-generated information should be critically reflected upon, and the educational mission is to convey strategies for critically engaging with such information. Traditional teaching methods should be outdated, and dialogic learning, self-activity, and interaction in the classroom should be promoted. ChatGPT can be integrated as a tool in the learning process, but the human perspective on learning remains important.
