- Title
Consideration of Vehicular and Pedestrian Flows in A Multi-Modal Traffic Signal Optimization Strategy for Isolated Intersections.
- Authors
Alhajyaseen, Wael; Meng LI
- Abstract
The article discusses traffic signal optimization strategy that considers both vehicular and pedestrian flows. It informs that pedestrian delay on crosswalk is calculated based on an empirical pedestrian speed model and also mentions that MATLAB can be used to solve the optimization problem through a set of measures of effectiveness (MOEs). It also informs that it can be used to optimize the cycle length and further improve average person delay (APRD).
