- Title
Trump: Populist Usurper President.
- Authors
PEASE, DONALD E.
- Abstract
The article argues that U.S. President Donald Trump is a symbolic investiture of a populist usurper. Topics discussed are President Trump's signature injunction Make America Great Again as a symptom of liberal democracy, his anti-immigrant retrotopia and isolationist America First principles, and Trump supporters' expression of white triumphalism, xenophobia, anti-semitism and frontier violence in Phoenix, Arizona as a defense for his ideological and moral perspective.
