- Abstract
This article aims to promote a reflection on the relationship between education focused on human rights and military police training, with the primary focus on the implementation of intercultural education, which enables social emancipation through training citizen. For both, will address the National Plan for Human Rights Education, seeking to understand the interaction between their guidelines and their practice in the consolidation of Public Safety systems, especially the locus Military Police, with the differentiator organizational culture focused on militarization in contrast to the humanization of its members. This study follows as a theoretical framework, the author of works by Paulo Freire: Education and Brazilian Actuality and Cultural Action for Freedom and other writings, using as a methodology the dialectical historical materialism to guide the analysis of the proposed theme, seeking to collaborate for a more comprehensive on the subject theoretical and critical understanding, still little explored.
