- Authors

- Abstract
Global learning (global education) is seen as a didactic response to different aspects of globalization in all spheres of life. Since global learning requires an interdisciplinary concept of the curriculum, its basic ideas are incorporated in the syllabi of different school subjects. The paper discusses in detail the possibilities of their realization in geography teaching. The emphasis is placed on defining the aims and objectives of geography teaching, incorporating new subject matter into the syllabus, as well as new learning methods and models. The second section of this paper analyses and compares the attitudes of geography teachers and secondary school pupils at "Gimnazija Sisak" towards the phenomenon of globalisation, which is taught in geography classes. The results have shown that both groups of respondents are familiar with the contemporary features of globalisation as well as its advantages and disadvantages. It has been observed that pupils' view of globalisation is fundamentally more positive than that of the teachers.
