- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to evaluate placental size and uterine artery (UtA) Doppler imaging as second-stage screening tests for women with low pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A). The study uses 90 normal singleton pregnancies measuring the placental sizes at first-trimester, 15-18 weeks gestation, and second-trimester. Results show that additional screening tests of women with low PAPP-A may directly improve perinatal outcomes.
