- Abstract
Introduction: Conducting research being undergraduate is fundamental. There are many reasons why students do not investigate, such as lack of time, opportunity or knowing how to do it. ANACEM creates instances to present the work made by undergraduate students, such as CCNEM and CCTEM conferences. The goal of this investigation is to describe which specialties are the most approached in both congresses. Materials and methods: The research works treated in 11 summary books of CCNEM and CCTEM conferences, from 2015 to 2019, were categorized according to the treated specialty. Clinical case reports were excluded. Results: 333 were evaluated in total. 71.7% of them being from CCNEM and 28.9% were from CCTEM. In both conferences, the majority of presentations corresponded to Public Health, 44.7% and 47.4% respectively. Surgery was in second place with 9% of the works. Discussion: It's really important to understand the situation of publishing of the undergrad students. Many times, the work done by students never goes public, and because of that, the generation of this space is very relevant. The final goal is not the production of new knowledge, but to stimulate and educate the new generations when it comes to research and stop seeing it as foreign to the student.
