- Abstract
Different factors can affect the Engagement of health professionals; one of them involved in contractual relationships, which have been transformed due to the dynamics of the current labor market. The objective was to analyze the differences in Engagement based on the type of contract in health professionals, of several institutions of Colombia. Non-experimental, study, which had 334 participants (M = 278 and H = 56), belonging to five institutions. A had hoc survey and the UWES - 9 were used. The data was processed in SPSS v.22; the statistical analysis is based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov-S test and the Kruskal-Wallis (p <.05). The results indicate that there are no statistically significant differences by type of contract in the levels of Engagement; the contract for work or labor obtained the highest score in Engagement. The results seek to improve the welfare of workers, based on a review of the contractual policies of organizations that offer health services.
