- Abstract
The article presents the case study of determining the relation of geographic variation in diagnosis frequency and case-fatality rate among Medicare beneficiaries. The study collected data from Medicare beneficiaries in 2007 and limited sampling from beneficiaries enrolled in Part A and Part B. The chronic conditions included were poor-prognosis-cancers, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease and chronic renal failure.
