- Abstract
The article reflects on the forecast of English clergyman-philosopher Thomas Malthus regarding the increase of the population which could result to the scarcity of food supply. He recognizes that the Malthusian principle, which was adopted by ecologist Paul R. Ehrlich when he published the "The Population Bomb" that explains the application of modern science in the world of food situation. The author also notes the condition of food supply in the U.S. and its relation to the principle.
