- Abstract
The energy transfer between a chiral conjugated polymer P1 which incorporates (R)-2, 2′-bisbutoxy-1, 1′-binaphthyl and 1, 4-divinyl-2, 3-bisbutoxy-naphthalene moieties and poly(vinylcarbazole) (PVK) has been studied by using the steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The absorption spectrum of P1 has good overlap with the PL spectrum of PVK. The blend films of PVK doped with P1 only emitted the light originating from P1, although the excitation wavelength was selected at 340 nm which corresponds to the peak absorption of PVK. The decay time of these two materials varied with the weight ratios of PVK to P1. The energy transfer from P1 and PVK investigated in detail.
