- Abstract
The article looks at the Chief Financial Officer Academy at Fort Lesley J. Mcnair in Washington D.C. and how it helps students to become effective leaders of the U.S. federal government. The Chief Financial Officers Council and the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) recognize the Academy's graduates as leaders who can make critical decisions to link resources and people to mission goals and outcomes, commit to continuous self development, and meet legislative mandates while keeping the balance of changing financial management strategies.National Defense University's Information Resources Management College opened a Chief Financial Officer Academy at Fort McNair in Washington, DC
