- Abstract
The article presents the discussion on Equine piroplasmosis (EP) is a blood-borne protozoal infection primarily transmitted by ticks in horses and other equids. Topics include import conditions for horses include pre-import testing for EP and further testing during onshore quarantine as required; and requirements for Australian horses, perform field surveillance and investigate suspected disease cases more effectively and more efficiently.
