- Abstract
The article focuses a study which tests the efficacy of the tipper systems used in the abalone industry on roe enhancement of wild caught adult Evechinus (E.) chloroticus in land-based holding systems. Results indicated the importance of water movement as a key factor affecting the quantity and quality of wild sea urchins. The sea urchins were exposed to increased water movement and almost identical DO values compared with those in the trickle system.
