- Title

- Authors
VISSER, JOHN
- Abstract
The article discusses the discovery of a much shorter hemipenes of a smaller northern brown phase of the Pseudaspis cana from Omaruru Namibia than those of the southern large black phase of the Western and Northern Cape. The author confirms the observed shortness of the hemipenes in the brown phase by comparing his data from those provided him of the larger black phase to exclude the possibility of congenital defect. He cites that the extent of the differences in hemipenal characters of the two colour phases justified a re-evaluation of the species.
