- Abstract
The article focuses on the founder and former President of the Republic of China Sun Yat-sen and his important social, economic and political influences on China, Taiwan and other countries in the 21st century. The author explores the various aspects of Sun's ideology, including those relating to social welfare, democracy and nationalism. The author discusses the importance of Sun's revolutionary idea called ''San min chu-i'' (The Three Principles of People), its related social and political doctrine and its impact on the practices of other countries.
