- Abstract
The author discusses the decrease in efficacy of urogenital Mycoplasma genitalium treatment by using azithromycin 1 gram. Topics include increasing prevalence of macrolide antimicrobial resistance for treatment of urogenital tract chlamydia infections and nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), consideration of limiting the use of azithromycin, and replacement of azithromycin 1g by azithromycin regimen.
