- Authors
Khan, Aqsa; Anger, Jennifer T.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study for evaluating urinary incontinence and prolapse treatment (EQUIPT) quality provided to women through the development of quality of care indicators (QIs). With quality defined as the degree to which health services increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes, QIs provide the minimum care appropriate for a patient with a certain condition. In 207 QIs used in the Assessing Care of Vulnerable Elders (ACOVE) project, only 55% of the necessary care was given.
