- Abstract
In this study, the vortex tube having no any moving parts, except the control valve was used in order to arrange volumetric flow rates. Fluid in two different heat depending on initinal pressure is obtained from vortex tubes. In the experimental studies, the control valve on the outlet side of the hot fluid was open position. Air is usually used as the pressured fluid in the vortex tube. 78.09% of nitrogen, 20.95% of oxygen, 0.93% of argon, 0,03% carbon dioxide and other gases at very less amount are existing the air. In the executed experimental study, air and O2 and CO2 gases in the air, were used as pressured fluid. The objective of using O2 and CO2 gases was to inspect change of cooling influence between air and O2 and CO2 gases in the vortex tube. Air, O2 and CO2 were applide to vortex tupe for inlet pressure from 2.0 bar to 7 bar in 1 bar intervals. In this study, energy-separation case which occurs in the vortex tubes was investigated experimentally for three different fluids and result were evaluated and suggested by graphiceses.
