- Abstract
Overall infection prevalence is a large factor in determining whether any group testing algorithm is more efficient than testing each specimen separately. LABORATORY VALIDATION We emphatically agree with HMA that accuracy should be a top concern whenever a laboratory implements group testing. Even with these reasons, a very large number of laboratories have been able to overcome them and significantly increase their testing capacity through group testing. Therefore, not only is group testing ready for "prime-time", but it is an established "hit" among laboratories around the world to increase testing capacity.
