The article focuses on the study of law under finality and clarity of the decisions regarding claims for attorney's fees in North Carolina. Topics discussed include the appellate procedure and untimely and interlocutory appeal, the ideological approaches which determines whether claims makes an appeal interlocutory such bright-line rule approach and case-by-case determination, and the landscape of the court of appeal from plaintiff Bumpers to Hausle.
