- Abstract
The article reports on a study which investigated the implications of the obesity paradox in a group of patients with first-ever ischemic stroke in Mashhad, Iran. Topics discussed include the association between body mass index and improved survival after stroke, the role of nutritional intervention in outcome improvement, and characteristics of the study population.
