The article discusses the representation of history in several Holocaust films. The films tackled include "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" an adapted film by Mark Herman based on the 2006 Holocaust novel by John Boyne, the 2002 historical drama "The Pianist," which is co-produced and directed by Roman Polanski and "Life is Beautiful," directed and starred by Roberto Benigni.
