- Abstract
Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a system of pulsed wide spectrum, non coherent light. We present four cases of abnormal scarring after the use of intense pulsed light, in two o them as a result of the use of intense pulsed light to treat vascular malformations and two to tattoos removal. We also present the treatment for such complications as the use of intralesional triamcinolone, fraccioned erbium laser and pulse dye laser. IPL is not a specific treatment for vascular malformations or for the tattoos removal.
