- Abstract
Objective: To reflect on the influence of communication and interpersonal relationships in pandemic times by COVID-19 on the mental health of health workers. Methods: This is a theoretical-reflexive study derived from national and international studies published from 2019 about communication and interpersonal relationships in the labor field. It was used the databases MEDLINE/PUBMED, Web of Science and Embase. The descriptors used were: "Health Personnel", "Interpersonal Relations", "Communication" and "Coronavirus Infections". Data were organized and analyzed using EndNote®⊓ software. Results: Communication becomes necessary among the multiprofessional team, since it has positive influences of a sectorial nature, facilitating interpersonal relationships between team members, managers and professionals, workers and the assisted target audience, bringing direct and indirect benefits to all involved, especially in strengthening workers' health, promoting a harmonious environment and improving the assistance provided. Conclusions: The contribution of effective communication and interpersonal relationships in health services is considered to be positive, and should be encouraged and facilitated by health institutions in their work routine.
