METROPOLITAN EVOLUTION, URBAN IMAGES, AND THE CONCENTRIC ZONE MODEL.
- Authors
Ford, Larry R.
- Abstract
The article discusses the use of concentric zone model and urban images to help urban geographers determine urban growth in the U.S. The objective of this article is to bring together the ideas of creating models to explain and teach principles of city structure and the work that is being done to discover how people view and remember cities. The combination of the model and images would enable geography students remember visual characteristics of cities, which are being forgotten.
