- Abstract
The article presents research into the quality assessment and characterization of the binding properties of the monocrotophos (MCP) molecularly imprinted polymer microspheres prepared by precipitation polymerization in toluene, azobisisobutyronitrile, monocrotophos, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and methacyclic acid (MAA). Two methacyclic acid molecules entrap a single monocrotophos molecule in toluene through hydrogen bond. Structurally related organophosphorous pesticides was used to investigate the specificity of the imprinted microspheres.
