- Abstract
The article discusses how teachers, who work with culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) students, can develop cultural competence in secondary transition. It mentions the increase in number of CLD students, which has become diverse across dimensions of family structure, socioeconomic status, and language. It highlights the transition-related concepts and expectations that can be influenced by culture such as eye contact, family involvement, and professional behaviour.
